Top Teachers' Demonstration Lessons
It has been two weeks since the opening of demonstration lessons of ‘Famous Teachers and Experts’ in the Junior High Department of the west campus. By observing a series of demonstration classes, each teacher was studying earnestly and exchanging ideas with each other. Also, a great many teachers have written down their own feelings and experience in the classes. We may as well discuss and learn together.
In the first place, top teacher Tang Xiaoxiang from the Chinese group taught a refutation paper entitled ‘Have Chinese People Lost Their Confidence?’ Tang Xiaoxiang used the appropriate way with a scientific and reasonable teaching process to set up the classroom teaching, and all the teaching processes were linked with one another and intricately woven together naturally and smoothly. To be concrete, Tang Xiaoxiang guided the problem to the students to let them think and explore and answer the doubts, letting them fully experience the success of thinking so that students can establish the idea that they can and they will. In fact, the seemingly ordinary questions led students to explore the world at a higher level. Tang Xiaoxiang's class was warm and natural. Seemingly plain, however, it showcased his superb skills and superb teaching wisdom.
In the second place, the class of Anqing Foreign Language School’s famous teacher Zhou Mi with the math group is equally wonderful, who brought us the lesson with the topic of ‘the Solution of an Equation’. Zhou Mi's math classroom teaching was not a single process of teacher teaching and student learning, but students' active exploration under the guidance of the teacher, happy cooperation and communication between the teacher and students, and the classroom teaching was smart, cheerful and smooth. In this class, students are no longer the listeners but important participants of the whole class. The teacher and students discussed and communicated with each other in the whole class, which fully reflected Zhou Mi’s extraordinary quality and teaching wit. Besides, the classroom atmosphere was very active, and Zhou Mi enlightened students as well. In this happy learning process, students unknowingly grasped the knowledge, looking forward to Zhou Mi to bring more wonderful knowledge next class.
In the third place, top teacher Zhu Wen's class also left a deep impression on us. The course is cleverly designed, each link of teaching follows students' cognitive level and expands the classroom teaching step by step. Before class, Zhu Wen asked the  students to make a daily report to show the relevant contents of this unit. Zhu Wen asked questions to find out what the students knew. After the students have answered their questions, Zhu Wen gave them some specific encouragement such as:  Your pronunciation is good! Yes,that's right. I agree with you! Thank you for your idea. Finally she concluded with compliments: Congratulations! Let's clap our hands, which allowed most students to be more involved in the class, and also made them more familiar with the unit they were studying. Throughout the class, students not only felt the charm of English in a relaxed and democratic atmosphere, but also enjoyed the charm of Zhu Wen's elegant classroom teaching, which can be indeed described as ‘Having fun with English!’ In the meantime, I hope I can grow up as soon as possible, try to find my own unique style and charm, and gradually become a better teacher.
In conclusion, many people have the same point of view. Examples are all around us and we need to work harder! In the future teaching, Anqing Foreign Language School’s teachers will study extensively, have profound inspiration, and constantly accumulate teaching literacy. As the saying goes, no accumulation of steps can’t lead to thousand miles and no integration of streams can’t result in seas and oceans.
